Winter invites us to slow down and tune inward. With long nights, low sunlight, and the stillness of the season, our practices naturally shift to align with this quieter, more reflective energy.
After the busyness of the holiday season - a time of extroversion, excitement, and social engagement - we all need space to pause, rest, and rediscover who we are beneath the noise, reconnecting with what truly matters and what we wish to offer the world.
Join Genya and Simone for a day retreat dedicated to reconnection and restoration. This is your invitation to experience the transformative power of breath, movement, and the ancient practices of hot and cold immersion and to come home to yourself.
We'll start the day with a practice that draws on the Earth element to help you feel grounded and connected. Working with the breath is a way to reduce stress and increase mindfulness and feelings of well-being.
You'll explore how your breath can nourish you, bringing a sense of calm and presence to every moment. Guided breathwork, including breath suspensions, will allow you to deepen into the somatic experience of your body - feeling the unfolding of your presence with each inhale and exhale.
From this grounded state, we'll transition into gentle movements, beginning small and growing into larger, more expansive movements. This nourishing practice will ease out tension, release stagnation, and awaken the body, helping you fully come home to yourself. It's an opportunity to connect deeply with your breath, your body, and the steady, grounding support of the Earth.
Show up for yourself, surrender, and embrace this powerful tool.
We'll embark on an empowering journey through hot and cold therapy, an ancient practice that purifies the body, enhances well-being and awakens vitality.
We'll begin in the wood-fired sauna (Banya), where the soothing aroma of cedar and the warmth of essential oil-infused steam will invite you to deeply relax and release what no longer serves you. You'll experience a centering meditation as the heat works magic on your body and mind.
From the sauna, you'll transition into the cold, feeling the fresh embrace of nature as you submerge into a cold tub or opt for a gentler immersion with a cold shower or plunge bucket. This powerful practice invigorates your entire being, connecting you to your breath and the present moment. It's a reminder of your aliveness, resilience, and the incredible capabilities of your body.
We'll close this transformative experience with an Integration Circle around the fire in the tipi, where the elements of Earth, Air, Water, and Fire will guide us in reconnecting with ourselves and each other.
To complete the day, we'll enjoy a warm, nourishing lunch, giving your body the care it needs to transition back into the world feeling refreshed, revitalized, and ready to meet life's challenges with a renewed sense of balance and ease.
This retreat is an opportunity to ground yourself in nature's healing power, reconnect with your inner self, and emerge with a deep sense of vitality and well-being.
