Summer Soul-Care on The Land

"It was June, and the world smelled of roses. The sunshine was like powdered gold over the grassy hillside."
- Maud Hart Lovelace

[Please remember to slow down and smell the roses.]

Summer on The Land is vibrant and green, speckled with floral pastels and golden yellows. The vegetables, herbs, flowers, and medicinal plants are growing, including echinacea, tomatoes, radishes, onions, garlic, lettuces, asparagus, scallions, strawberries, red & black currants, and a variety of teas. The fountain in the middle of the garden is a welcome, moist place for birds, frogs, salamanders, and hummingbirds to hydrate. All around, it is clear that nature is flourishing.

It beckons us to pause for a while and listen to the wind through the trees as we feel the breeze on our sun-drenched skin, hear the songs of birds as we watch them dip and dart through the air, and smell the grass, trees, and gardens arounds us as we notice the sounds of pollinators buzzing busily by.

While on The Land, we take big, deep breaths in, and let happy sighs out. There are bountiful opportunities for peace and healing here.
